Cross Cut Sail:
The full-batten battens provide good sail control and prevent sail ruffles.
This type of construction is designed for boaters looking for durability.
We selected the CONTENDER AP and CHALLENGE New Port for their value for money and excellent durability.
The Strengths of a Fully Lined Sail Cross Cut:
- The horizontal battens facilitate handling when reefing and lowering.
- The sail is much better held than a conventional or semi-battened sail.
- The roller or ball bearing slides facilitate maneuvering (less friction), although the sail is heavier.
